HISTORICAL RECORDS *
"In summary, the Henslow's Sparrow was uncommon but regular in South County for at least 40 years and possibly much longer, reaching its highest population in the late 1930s or early 1940s in both South County and Newport County. It then declined and entirely disappeared from the state within two decades." *
